Cavitation is a non-surgical technique to eliminate localized fat using low-frequency ultrasound. Its main advantage is that it offers the possibility of achieving the same results as liposuction, but without the need for surgical intervention, which is why more and more people prefer cavitation as a painless alternative, without anesthesia and very effective, and without leaving any sign or scar on the skin.
The ultrasound of the cavitation generates small bubbles in the fat cells that implode, causing the rupture of these cells that become liquid. Finally, this liquid is expelled through the urine and the lymphatic system.
The results are visible from the first sessions, being able to lose up to 12 centimeters of body contour.
During the cavitation process, to achieve better results, it is advisable to drink plenty of water (1.5 liters of water) and follow a hypocaloric diet (low-calorie diet), as well as practice light exercise between sessions.
As we have already mentioned, after each session it is convenient to resort to drainage techniques (massage or pressotherapy) to facilitate the elimination of fat.
Depending on the equipment used and the needs of the patient, different cavitation techniques can be used. These types are generally three: stable cavitation, double cavitation and ultracavitation.
Stable cavitation uses low-frequency ultrasound to dissolve fat cells. It is a very simple treatment, and is used to eliminate orange peel skin, cellulite and localized fat in specific areas. It is the most widely used technique and uses specific radiofrequency devices to eliminate adipose tissue.
Double cavitation, for its part, uses waves of different frequencies to produce bubbles. Specifically, it uses devices capable of generating two waves, the combination of which increases the temperature inside the microbubbles. As a result of this increase in temperature, the bubbles implode, turning the fatty tissue into liquid.
The third type of cavitation, ultracavitation, uses low-frequency ultrasound to produce the same results.
